This 6.7 acre parcel, located between Springtown Road and the Wallkill River, was given to the Wallkill Valley Land Trust by Richard and Vivian Hasbrouck in 2001. With their approval, the property was transferred to the Town of New Paltz in 2004. The WVLT, the Town, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation worked together to draw up preliminary sketches for a town park with a hand-carried boat launch. The Town donated an agreement to the Wallkill Valley Land Trust to ensure this parcel can only be used for such a park.
